Our OpenLog4 card offers a highly integrated hardware solution,
that combines high impedance line isolation and a DSP processor on a single PCI card. The card is specifically targeted for developers of PC based Call Logging/Recording systems and run under Linux, FreeBSD and Windows 98/2000/XP/NT.
Voicetronix understands the advantages in decreasing application development
time and minimising the time to market of end-user solutions for its stakeholders.
Our OpenLog cards support a free commercial grade Open Source Voice Logger
application that enables users to quickly customise and deploy Call Logging/Recording
applications for a fraction of the price of commercially available Logging
solutions.
All you need is a PC, an OpenLog card and the Voice Logger
software to build your own multi-port Call Logging/Recording system.
Typical environments for Call Logging/Recording applications include:
- The finance and banking industry where calls are recorded
to verify transaction dealings.
- Call centres and help desks that monitor calls to be
used as customer service training aids.
- Emergency response services where calls answered are
often life threatening in nature.
- Corrective institutions that monitor calls for illegal
activities.
- Dictation services for Legal and Medical practitioners.

The OpenLog cards offers the application developer:
- Integrated high impedance ports that are suitable for parallel connection
to the PSTN line or analogue PBX extensions. There is no requirement
for separate high impedance interface modules that plague users of
other logging hardware.
- Customisations can be made to support microphone line levels. Ask
- An opportunity to scale to higher density PC based Call Logging/Recording
systems by simply installing multiple OpenLog cards within a PC chassis.
- A comprehensive open source API that provides total control over
the design of feature-rich Call Logging/Recording applications.
- Support of leading operating systems including Linux, FreeBSD
and Windows 98/2000/NT.
- A wide selection of robust recording triggers to suit most application
requirements including:
- Line voltage detection.
- VOX (energy level threshold).
- DTMF.
- Programmable tone detection.
- An Automatic Gain Control (AGC) module, enabling the OpenLog cards
to record both parties at comparable recording levels. Without this
module the far-end caller signal level is usually much lower than
the near-end caller signal level.
- A Programmable Software Gain control function, enabling users to
easily increase or decrease the recording levels to suit line characteristics
through an API call. It extends the recording range of the OpenLog
cards - suitable for line conditions that exhibit very low or high
signal levels.
- Integrated Caller Identification enabling recordings to be tagged
by telephone number.
- Support of a free commercial grade LGPL-licensed Voice Logger application.
Open Source API
- Comprehensive Open Source API that supports synchronous
and asynchronous programming models and offers total design control
over the call recording application.
- Developers can make customisations/enhancements to
the Open Source API to suit their requirements.

Open Source Voice Logger Software
- Quickly build voice logging applications running
on Linux.
- Typical commercially available Call Logging solutions
cost around US$1000/channel. For the price of a PC and an OpenLog
card, users can deploy commercial grade Call Logging/Recording applications
for a fraction of the price (US$150-US$250/channel).
- Check out the free LGPL-licensed Voice Logger software for feature information!
Runs on Linux, FreeBSD and Windows
- Our Open Source software architecture enables easy porting to other
operating systems. Currently the card supports Linux, FreeBSD and
Windows 98/2000/XP/NT.
- Linux and FreeBSD users can now build their own Call Logging/Recording
systems running on their choice of open source operating system. The
majority of commercially available Loggers run on Windows platforms.
- Ability to maintain Voice Logging applications remotely as open
source operating systems offer reliable remote administration.
