Our OpenPri series of compact E1/T1 PCI interface cards are specifically designed for high density digital (ISDN) line telephony and data applications. The cards support voice and data protocols over full and fractional T1 and E1 lines. Both single and dual span E1/T1 configurations are available. Also available is our dual E1/T1 Hi-Z span card.

These cards support a selection of freely available open source telephony applications running under Linux. These include:

  • OpenPBX, our very own web based PABX/PBX application developed using CT server. Check out our online demo by clicking on the OpenPBX screen shot here.
  • CT Server, a client/server library suitable for rapid telephony application development in Perl.
  • Asterisk,a leading PBX application that offers both classical PBX functionality and advanced features. It interoperates with standards-based telephony and Voice over IP systems. It supports SIP and H.323 which enables developers to build highly scalable IP-PBX solutions using IP-phones and our OpenPri card acting as the PSTN gateway.
  • Logger, a voice recording/logging server configurable using web based GUIs. It is supported by our OpenLog, OpenPCI and OpenPri (dual E1/T1 Hi-Z span) cards, catering for both analogue and digital line interfaces.

    • Sangoma's WANPIPE routing architecture and
    • LIBPRI, the primary rate voice switching library, written by Mark Spencer, creator of Asterisk.
    • Data modes supported include: Frame relay, PPP and HDLC.
    • Voice modes supported include: Raw bit, CAS and ISDN.
Comprehensive Open Source Telephony API
  • Build feature-rich high density port telephony applications from the ground up. These telephony applications include:
    • Interactive Voice Response (IVR).

Supported telephony application software and drivers
  • Asterisk: The OpenPri single and dual E1/T1 spans seamlessly operate with Sangoma's A101 and A102 products respectively via the wanpipe architecture. To run Asterisk on the OpenPri cards please go the following ftp site and follow the readme instructions.
  • OpenPBX/CT server: To run OpenPBX/CT server with the OpenPri cards, just go to our downloads page and download vpb driver 3.0 or greater, OpenPri kernel, OpenPBX/CT server and following the readme instructions.
  • Logger: To run Logger with the OpenPri dual E1/T1 Hi-Z span card, follow the same steps as OpenPBX/CT server, but in this case download the Logger application instead of OpenPBX/CT server.
